Profile of a Coffee Connoisseur: Ted Bendixson

Ted Bendixson is a former armchair philosopher and coffee shop crackpot theorist. He grew up in Bismarck, North Dakota where coffee is an extremely weak form of watered down Folgers, and you have to drink three pots to wake up. Since the age of 14, Ted has lived in the sunny state of Colorado. He attended college at the university of Colorado at Boulder, studying philosophy and computer science. Since then, he has moved up to the mountains to snowboard every day and pretty much kill it at all things stunt-related.

For a three year stint, Ted has worked in coffee shops and restaurants that demand perfection and professionalism. It was a sink or swim environment in which only those who possess a true talent for the art of coffee and milk are able to survive. Ted happily acknowledges and "shouts out" to Sue Volk at Mountain Grind Coffee in Winter Park Colorado, Chef Benson at the prestigious Cascade Dining Room in Timberline Lodge at Mt. Hood Oregon, and Barbara Blanchard at the New Moon Cafe in Keystone Colorado. These people helped him to become who he is today. Plus, they tolerated his unending penchant for going snowboarding whenever the clouds broke free from the sky.

These days, Ted owns a professional copywriting business. He works with a multitude of clients on a wide variety of projects including website biographies for famous musicians, marketing for skateboarding websites, and iPhone application development services marketing. He still loves a good cup of joe, even though he is currently retired from the professional coffee making business. He currently resides in Breckenridge Colorado, but that is subject to change anytime due to the whims of his own wanderlust.
