Love over Coffee

Released on 2011-10-03 by Emily

Wondering where to take your date? Looking for new dating ideas? The answer is good old coffee. You can’t always come up with great ideas. When you don’t know your date that well, it becomes even harder to appeal to the liking of your potential partner. The idea of taking out your date for a cup of coffee might sound a bit clichéd but it actually is great. You will shortly know why.

The no. 1 reason is the easy reach to coffee. Coffee shops are just about everywhere. Going to a coffee shop is non-threatening, convenient and safe, especially when it is the first date. Besides, coffee is liked by almost everyone. So if you are interested in someone, ask them out for a cup of coffee. Most likely, he/she will say yes. It would be a good idea to choose a coffee shop near other dating locations such as dancing, movies, etc. so that you can move to the next location if date is going on well.

Another good reason to go on a coffee date is the low pressure of expenses on you as it is pretty economical. It is never a good idea to go overboard in terms of expenditure. Spending a lot doesn’t fetch you more points. Rather, it makes you less attractive and even less when you hardly know your date. There should never be a pressure of expenses, no obligations and heavy expectations when going on a date. If you want to indulge in fancy things and expensive food, it might take the attention off of you and the person with you might focus on those things more. Coffee, on the other hand, is subtle, with no chances of focus losing.

Scientists say caffeine makes you more attentive and alert. Persuasion can be made easier with coffee than getting ignored in a club drinking liquor or in a distracting bar. Intimacy and a good rapport can be built when you and your date pay attention to each other with nothing to distract. You will have all the time to get to know your date and assess if they are right for you.

Coffee often is associated with good experiences and nice feelings. Sipping coffee while on a date brings back those memories making you enjoy the time. Sharing coffee helps you bond better for sure.

Lastly, coffee acts as a stimulant. It gets the blood racing and heart beating faster than usual. Your body gets energized and aroused, just like the way it feels when excited in love. So, when you date’s heart gets racing because of caffeine, he/she just might think that you are the reason!
