muzzi Says:

looks good! It looks like you pour exactly like I do

luzidownunder Says:

so is it a good or a bad thing?!

TREVOR HYAM Says:

Wow! if that's your first one, its REALLY good - particularly the larger sements near the base. damn those bubbles though!

luzidownunder Says:

thank you... yeah and i'm practising a lot and really gettin better... made yesterday a few nice ones. But had no camera..

Dean Says:

latte art doesnt count if it doesnt taste good... its just about how the coffee looks its about how it tastes as well.... an by lookin at this "coffee thing"
sorry

luzidownunder Says:

who says that this coffee tasted bad??? It was a very good shot.. and i still was learning how to do the milk at this time... first i learned how to balance a shot. I think that's the most important thing.. And it was a good one.. i drunk it..

Dean Says:

WE LIVE IN A PLACE CALLED EARTH PEOPLE WERE LATTE ART DOESNT MEAN NUFFIN IS THE COFFEE IS CRAP.... EVERY1 ON THIS SITE IS LIKE LOOK LOOOKKKKKK ALMOST THERE.... SO BULLLLL PEOPLE.... OWNNNNNNNNNNNNNED

treefinger Says:

you also have to work on your english, quite hard to get anything out of that post.

luzidownunder Says:

i think dear dean is gettin a little bit upset (or whatever...), that might be the reason why it's so hard to understand what he's trying to tell us..
so far..
@ Dean: i just can repeat myself: this coffee tasted very nice. That means it wasn't crap. And maybe u should have a look at the name of this page: its called "rate my rosetta" so probably it's here for rating rosettas.. what do u think? It's more about art... and i think it's really nice, that we have the ability to make art with coffee..
anyway.. i really don't think that i'm the best, but actually i think that i'm better than u. but it doesn't really matter. It's not that i want to be the best or something like that. It's more that I want to be as good as possible and give good quality to my customers (whats good taste and also good looking..)
Did u ever see the happy smile in the peoples face if u get them a really fat beautiful Rosetta on a very good tasting Flat White... I like it!

regulatorjohnson Says:

anyone ever hear - "you taste with your eyes, before you taste with your mouth" not always the case.

presentation is key. thats is what the parsley is for.

latte art is parsley made from milk.

Silverskin Says:

I think this looks great, and sometimes you have no control over the milk texture, your cows simply have their bad weeks like the cows here in NZ, hormones and seasonal changes can ruin perfectly steamed milk. I regularly deal with this, still tastes fine atop a well executed extraction.

TREVOR HYAM Says:

Dear me people! what's been going on this last week?! ...have you signed-in drunk again, Dean?! Yeah, it's true that the very best espresso, etc, must ultimately focus on taste, and there are millions of factors that affect this, not just milk art. But even though you don't need god-shots to pour great rosettas, the best free pour patterns signify pretty high overall quality, and certainly passion for coffee and presentation; which shouldn't be sneered at. Some folk should definitely consider improving their own designs before slating others on a site dedicated to the technique!!

ThatCoffeeGuy Says:

So Dean, I just have to know... by looking at this coffee you could tell that it didn't taste good? Stop licking your monitor... that's just weird.

crazyhakins Says:

I agree that latte art is important, but only as important as the passion that has gone into the coffee making process. When I see good latte art, I think that the person who made this has been part of a meticulous process to create a good coffee. I'd really hope that good latte art didn't mean that there was some dickhead barista behind the machine trying to let the world know how good he is. it's totally about the enjoyment and satisfaction of creating something excellent.
by the way, why is it that the spell check on this website doesn't recognise 'rosetta' it's in the frickon title!

Mr.Linea Says:

wooow dean. this site is about ART. if you want a site based on taste, why dont you make a www.tastemyrosetta.com ???

muzzi Says:

As far as I know, coffee is still taste tested in the world latte art championships

Here on the Internet we're not usually lucky enough to have that luxury However, everyone should be encouraged!
