Do you Aussies spin the cup when you pour? Curious
muzzi Says:
If I don't pour right into the middle of the cup then I get twists too. Not always the desired effect, but it looks good sometimes
ThatCoffeeGuy Says:
This is an etch isn't it? The first two comments make it sound like free pour... If not, I would love some advice on this type of pour and how to pull it off, I really like it.
T.M.R Says:
This looks like a combination of pour, "spin the coffee" and etch. You can try similar results by pouring a circle/heart off center, and then shake the cup to spin the coffee/foam. You will find that at a certain rate of shake, the foam moves in a circle. This results in a cyclone like shape. Finally, you can etch some lines like bicycle wheel spokes.
Actually, the spining might be replaced by etching. Use the etcher and move draw a few circle contiuously from center out. The key is to do it as soon as you finih pouring to move the soft foam.
Dean Says:
its just poured straight into the middle to get a white spot in the middle an then theres some fancy toothpick lines done. An a quick circle through it, unless u want it to look like the sun
